ZTC involved in developing modular retrofitting training material

After more than two years of active work on modular retrofitting process development MORE-CONNECT partners, including SIA “Zemgales tehnoloģiskais centrs” (ZTC), have prepared learning modules for engineers, craftsmen, architects etc. In particular learning modules of each specific country take into account local market needs and specifics. Precise schedule will be announced in early September 2017. In addition for more detailed information please contact local research partner.

The European building sector is at this moment not able to offer an integral solution for deep renovation toward nearly Zero Energy Building (nZEB) for reasonable costs. The building process is typically based on a ‘layered’ structure, with many labour actions on the buildings site, with many sub disciplines involved, leading to extra costs and failure risks. Due to the long-lasting renovation process and the failure risks during this process, customers hesitate to renovate their property.

About More-Connect

MORE-CONNECT is a project funded from the European Union’s H2020 framework programme for research and innovation. Also MORE-CONNECT tries to develop prefabricated, multifunctional renovation elements for the total building envelope (façade and roof) and installation/building services. Prefabricated elements would be combined, selected and configured by the end-user, certainly based on his specific needs.
