Innovative CLT private house in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands

In the summer of 2021, ZTC completed work on an innovative private house in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. The area of the two-storey house is 250m2.

An innovative solution was used in the production of this private house. Moreover the CLT was used as a load-bearing element. Electrical corrugations were built into the ZTC factory and CLT was insulated. This  composite panel was delivered to the construction site, where after assembling the house, the exterior finish was complete, which was a vertical board of African hardwood.

In all interior walls of the house, except for the bathroom, the CLT was left as an exhibited material. Therfore solutions were found to hide the utilities. By using CLT as a final finish indoors, the construction time was further shortened as most of the work was done at the factory. Using CLT as the final finish, we can offer customers a complete wall panel both inside and outside of the house.

The private house was also built with high quality ecological solutions. Eco-wool as well as vapor permeable membranes were used in the production of the house.

For instance you can see the home assembly process filmed by the house owner:
