ZTC completed infill panel deliveries for an apartment house project “Stationhus” in Falkenberg, Sweden. Infill panels were used for two facades of the building totalling 1800 m
2.
The mixed construction project consisted of a steel structural frame with reinforced concrete floor slabs and wood frame infill panel walling. The facade was finished with a custom made 3D metal sheeting which required high precision in infill panel production.
Wood frame infill panels use insulation with especially low R value and lumber of different dimensions than in conventional wooden panel construction to reach the necessary insulation characteristics with limited thickness.
Scope of ZTC work
ZTC prepared technical drawings, produced and delivered the infill panels to construction site. ZTC produced the panels from vapour insulation to wind breaking layer (cement-fiber sheets). The panels were produced with preinstalled windows.
