Prefab apartment house near Lugano
Three storey apartment house project with 360 m2 of floor area 40 km finished in December 2019 outside Lugano, Switzerland.
The project required construction design solutions with large steel beams used in order to solve loads for large spans. The roof also required custom design solution that features visible load bearing glulam beams with siding boards and only then mounting roof panels with crossing beams.
The building included CLT panels that provide increased load bearing capability compared to conventional stick frame panels.
Scope of ZTC work
ZTC prepared the technical project for wooden constructions of the prefab apartment house, produced the construction elements (panels with electrical conduits fitted in the factory and part of windows and doors fitted) and organized transportation of the building kit.
On site ZTC supported the assembling of the prefab apartment house by providing mounting team leaders.
Laying of foundation, interior engineering communications (piping, wiring) and interior finishing was organized by the client.
