Residential and commercial building finished

On early December of 2014 ZTC finished works on a three storey building in the very north of Norway in Sortland. ZTC worked on this project for less than six months. This building provided valuable experience to ZTC team on the best ways to connect wood constructions to concrete. Therefore the resulting building combines the best technical properties of both wood elements and concrete.

ZTC started producing the house elements at the factory in Latvia in mid-June of 2014. A team of builders was sent to Norway by the beginning of July to perform assembling and finishing works. These works were finished in early December 2014.

The first floor of this residential and commercial building will house a bank branch. The second and third floor of the building are for apartments with spacious terraces. The building has a specific configuration since it is located on a narrow angled corner of a quarter. The facade colour was specified by the municipality head architect. Also the facades are ventilate with painted board finishing and painted slab siding.


Scope of ZTC work
The building consists of concrete load bearing frame constructions with dividing timber frame constructions. Certainly, the construction of concrete elements was organized by the buyer. Consequently, ZTC assembled the exterior and interior walls, the roof, terraces and balconies with a total area of 1800 square metres.
